The 48-Hour Seat · emergency AI Front Desk
Your receptionist just quit. The phone doesn’t know that.
We’ll have an AI Front Desk trained on your business and answering your calls in 48 hours. Faster than Indeed approves your job ad. Cancel the day you hire a human, or don’t hire one.
Start the 48-hour clock: book a 20-min call Or call (704) 741-3141 nowThat number is answered by the same AI Front Desk we’d put on your line. Interview it. If it can’t handle you, don’t hire it.
Why the day someone quits is the worst day to start hiring
Every missed call is a job you didn’t quote. Trades and dental offices lose 20–40% of inbound calls to voicemail on a normal week; with an empty desk it’s closer to all of them.
You will spend the next 3–6 weeks interviewing instead of running the business, then 4 more weeks training someone who may also leave.
The person you rush-hire in a panic is the person you fire in 90 days.
What to do in the next 72 hours
Whether or not you call us. This is the checklist we walk owners through.
- TodayForward the main line to a cell or to us. A ringing phone nobody answers is worse than a busy signal.
- TodayWrite down the 10 questions callers ask most. That list is 80% of the front-desk job, and it’s what we train the AI on.
- TomorrowDecide what the desk must do (answer, book, take messages) vs. what it should not do (quote prices, argue about invoices). Route the second list to you.
- Day 2Go live with the AI seat. Listen to the first 20 calls; we tune it same day.
- Week 2Look at the numbers: calls answered, appointments booked, after-hours calls captured. Then decide whether you still need to hire.
What the AI Front Desk does from day two
- Answers every call, 24/7, in your business name, no hold music, no voicemail.
- Books and reschedules appointments straight into your calendar or scheduling software.
- Takes intake: name, callback number, address, what’s wrong, how urgent.
- Texts the caller a confirmation and texts you the summary.
- Hands emergencies and “I want a person” callers to your cell, instantly.
- Speaks English and Spanish.

Questions owners ask at 4pm on the day it happens
How can you have an AI Front Desk working in 48 hours?
Because we are not building from scratch. The seat already exists, trained on how service businesses run. In the first 24 hours we load your specifics: hours, services, pricing rules you allow it to state, calendar, escalation numbers, the ten questions your callers ask most. Hour 24 to 48 is testing with you on the line. Most go live sooner.
What happens if you miss 48 hours?
Setup is free. You pay the monthly fee only from the day it is live. We put that in writing because the whole point of this page is speed.
Is this a temp? What happens when I hire someone?
Month-to-month, cancel any time. Most owners keep the AI on the seat after they hire because the human ends up doing the parts the AI can’t, and the AI keeps the phones and the routine work. But if you want to shut it off the day your new hire starts, you can.
What does the AI Front Desk NOT do?
If your front desk also runs the books, chases collections past the second notice and manages your top accounts, the AI takes the phones and the booking, and you keep a human for the rest. We’ll tell you that on the call.
How is this different from an answering service?
An answering service takes a message for $200–$400 a month and you still do the work. This seat does the work: books, confirms, invoices, follows up, escalates. It also knows your business, not a script it reads for 300 clients.
What does it cost after the emergency is over?
$497 a month, flat, no per-call or per-minute fees. Year one including setup is $7,464. The median receptionist salary is $38,010 (BLS May 2025), about $56,039 fully loaded.
The phone is ringing right now.
Forward it to us tonight. We’ll have the seat trained and answering by the day after tomorrow.
